I had it but when i switched to goblin and lost all of my quests. Now I can't get a quest to go to the port and when i showed up there I couldn't click on anything.
yea thats my problem. i was doing those quests and King Varian glitched and was phased out ...nobody else could see him either that were trying to do the quest..so i abandon the quest and now that Varian is back it shows nothing for a quest to get to do it again
The portal requires sufficient progress questing in wow gold Highlands itself. When a portal opens up *back* to the city, then the city portal to Twilight Highlands will also open up. This is true for both factions.
Both sides: You can't get the Hero's Call or Warchief's Command quest if you already went straight to Varian/Garrosh and started the chain there with its followup. This is fine, you just missed a skippable breadcrumb but it doesn't affect the chain in any way.
Alliance (in case you started and want to know places to check where you might have left off): Quests are picked up from various people in the throne room, at the port (beware of phasing due to Vashj'ir intro quest), and from Anduin as he follows you around (you can go pick him up in the throne room again if you lose him). There's also one quest in the chain that's picked up from a prisoner in the ruined barracks (but you turn the previous quest in to him so it's kinda hard not to know he has a quest). You'll eventually be sent off to Twilight Highlands.
Horde (same deal, in case you're partway but not wholly done): Quests are picked up from Garrosh, from a guy at the gate between Org and Azshara, from various people (and blueprints) in and around Bilgewater Harbor in Azshara, and finally at the airstrip on the mainland south of there for the quest to actually go to Twilight Highlands when you're done.
Either way, you have to do those main-city (and surrounding area) quest chains first, before you're actually sent off to and can start questing in Twilight Highlands proper. The Hero's Call/Warchief's Command breadcrumbs, if you do them, will send you to do those quest chains, and won't send you straight to Twilight Highlands.
